37th Annual Bob Wiseman Memorial Tournament On behalf of the Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association (GLASA), we welcome you to participate in the 37th Annual Bob Wiseman Memorial Tournament. Our tournament is for boys and girls teams in the following divisions: U5-U19 Recreational, U7-U10 Academy, and U11-U19 Competitive.

The tournament will take place Friday, August 18th through Sunday, August 20th. Out-of-town teams will NOT be required to play on Friday night.

Hotel Information

A condition of acceptance requires every "out of town" team to utilize one of the sanctioned hotels and book the rooms through Global Connections Inc. (GCI) using their online request system at www.GCITeamTravel.com. Global Connections has worked closely with the local hotels and has secured the best rates possible for this event. Various options will also be available to satisfy team needs and all budgetary considerations.

ALL teams traveling to participate in the tournament can designate a team representative to make the entire team's request online at www.GCITeamTravel.com. GCI has secured tournament room blocks at reduced rates from a wide range of hotels to suit the needs of all participating teams. A list of the hotels can be found online for this specific tournament.

Playing Notes

  • Player and team awards for 1st Place and 2nd Place
  • "Age pure" age groups will be created when possible
  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze skill divisions within an age group will created when possible
  • Non-local teams will NOT be required to play Thursday or Friday night, unless otherwise requested

Guest Players

  • A guest player is a player you "borrow" from another team to fill a roster spot.  You cannot exceed the roster maximum for your age group.  If the roster maximum for your age group is 18 and you have 16 players on your roster that are going to play, you can only bring 2 guest players even though you are allowed to bring more.
  • A guest player must be on NTSSA or USYS team registered for Fall 2017.
  • A "Guest Player Release" must be signed for each guest player by their parent, releasing coach (whom they normally play for), and receiving coach (whom they are playing with in the tournament).  For a rec player, the form must also be signed by their home association.

Academy Restrictions

  • All academy teams must have either a NTSSA Academy Tournament Roster or US Club Soccer roster
  • The NTSSA Academy Tournament Roster must be signed by a NTSSA home association Registrar
  • US Club Soccer rosters must come printed from US Club Soccer account in SDL or PrimeTime - NO HAND-WRITTEN US Club Soccer rosters
  • PSA, YMCA, and Prestonwood teams are not allowed without NTSSA or US Club Soccer roster
  • Indoor rosters will NOT be accepted
  • U6 players (and younger) may NOT play on an academy team
  • Players playing on an academy team in a tournament may NOT play on a rec team at the same tournament
  • Players may NOT play on more than one academy team in the same tournament
  • Medical release on NTSSA Academy Player Registration form or NTSSA Medical Release will be accepted
  • Medical releases do NOT have to be notarized

This tournament is sanctioned as an Unrestricted Tournament, which means US Club Soccer teams can participate.

    1. Thursday, August 17th at GLASA office from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
    2. Friday, August 18th at Railroad Soccer Complex from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Non-Local Teams
    1. Friday, August 17th at Railroad Soccer Complex from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
    2. Saturday, August 18th at Railroad Soccer Complex from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Deadline for remote check-in is 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Tournament Rules

If inclement weather cancels the tournament prior to start of first scheduled game, a maximum of 50% of the entry fee will be retained by the tournament to cover tournament costs.
